TBIP × Japan Nakanoshima Qross Taiwan–Japan Biomedical Industry Exchange Series

Taipei Bioinnovation Park officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nakanoshima Qross in Osaka, Japan this August, becoming sister parks. Through this collaboration, both sides will jointly promote research, support innovation and entrepreneurship, facilitate talent exchange, and create new business opportunities. This partnership aims to help companies in the park expand into international markets and establish strategic alliances, opening up more opportunities for development.
As the first step of our cooperation, we sincerely invite you to participate in Nakanoshima Qross Innovation Week 2025 (September 16–19). This event will gather entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world to foster diverse exchanges and cross-sector collaboration, exploring future opportunities in healthcare and global startups.
Nakanoshima Qross, a new hub for future medical industries, officially opened in late June 2024. It is operated by the “Future Medical Promotion Organization,” formed by Osaka Prefecture and 21 companies and medical institutions, under the leadership of Professor Yoshiki Sawa, a world-renowned cardiovascular surgeon. The hub aims to build a diverse community of startups and international medical innovators.
The facility includes a cell manufacturing facility operated by the Kyoto University iPS Cell Research Foundation, led by Nobel laureate Professor Shinya Yamanaka. It also hosts multiple medical institutions, health check-up facilities, and startup teams originating from eight medical schools in the Kansai region. Together, they provide exceptional opportunities for international biotech and medical companies to explore diverse collaborations in Kansai’s medical technology ecosystem.
