【AS-BioTReC】2025.06.03Prof. Yuan-Hung Lo speech
The Biomedical Translation Research Center of Academia Sinica is honored to invite Dr. Yuan-Hung Lo from the Department of Molecular and Cellular Oncology at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, to deliver a lecture at the National Biotechnology Research Park on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Professor Yuan-Hung Lo’s research focuses on fundamental and translational studies of gastrointestinal GI pathogenesis, integrating advanced genetic technologies with physiologically relevant 3D organoid models to unravel the complex biology of the GI tract and pioneer innovative therapies. His work centers on modeling gastric cancer using primary organoids, investigating adult GI stem cells in cancer biology, and exploring tumor-immune interactions. His pioneering contributions in cancer biology and organoid technology have been published in top-tier journals such as Nature, Nature Cancer, Cancer Discovery etc., establishing him as a rising leader in next-generation cancer research.
In this talk, Prof. Lo will discuss how cutting-edge human 3D organoid models are leveraged to decipher the molecular mechanisms of gastric cancer and accelerate the development of next-generation therapies. We warmly welcome you to join this seminar.
